HOWEVER, if youre separating your Comcast-fed devices from your IP-only MoCA-networked coax segments, then you wouldnt need a 'designed for MoCA' amplifier. Sorry I'm so verbose, just a bit frustrated right now. That amp is at least marketed as being MoCA compliant, so you should get improved MoCA connectivity between the outputs. I mentioned, how does the DVR know one of their MoCa set-top boxes is authorized and should if a customer has those, do they appear listed somewhere on the DVR either on the customer or Xfinity tech side of things as an active device? However when I've chatted with one Xfinity Tech he didn't seem to understand what I was talking about. I have also seen within this forum someplace, that within my customer account, I need to have the Anyroom DVR option active in my account. I have noted in the Xfinity requirements, it states you must login to my primary Xfinity account on the MoCa compatible device. I have a Samsung SmartTV I hoping to push the MoCa signal to (It is a MoCa compatible device and Comcast is no longer doing the XfinityTV for them). Set the WCB3000N to the D1 channel 1150Mhz. The bandwidth between is reading about 240 Mbs. (I the Actiontec bundled WCB3000N and ECB2500C). I've enabled MoCa(Vidi on my DVR (an Arris MX011ANM), it appears that after chatting with the Xfinity Tech the DVR is recognizing and hand shaking with the MoCa adapter. Is there a place you source you might point me to that would take me to the next step. I've been on the phone with a few techs and though it looks like i have haven't had access to but about 4 stations, one of which is about needing a set-top adapter no-less. I note I get an error that reads "If an update is needed, a message will appear on your screen within 20 seconds. Thank you.Hey working on a Moca item on my end on with Xfinity also. Do I have to run the Xfinity modem in bridged in order for the devices plugged into the R2 to recognize a connection? I'm wondering if this will pose a problem when I go to run the R2 of the MoCA? Will I not be able to run two routers off the same modem signal? Is my only way around this to buy another modem and pay for another service in the house? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Well, when I plug everything into the R2 and run ethernet from the R2 to the Xfinity router, I get nothing. I haven't got the MoCA adapter yet (it comes today), but the router came yesterday, so I figured I would set it up off the Xfinity modem/router last night so that it would be good to go when the MoCA came in today. My Xbox is in another room on the other end of the house so my plan was to run a MoCA adapter in that room to get an internet signal and just plug the router in from that. Currently the house is on an Xfinity router (I'm in the US) and the house runs off of Google wifi units and the only things are wired to the router directly are two PC's in the room with the router and the main Google wifi unit. Moreover, it collaborates with all the MoCA mesh networks to give a better result. MoCASec gives extra security and privacy to the MoCA, just like the Ethernet does for wired and wireless network connections. So, I bought the R2 specifically for my Xbox. It is a supplementary security layer with a P2P (point to point) link with privacy.
